Gluten-Friendly and Allergen Aware

Claire’s Cookies are designed to be gluten-friendly for those with gluten sensitivities or avoid gluten for as a dietary preference. I obtained my food handler’s certificate in 2024 in addition to an allergen essentials certification. Claire’s Cookies qualifies under the Colorado Cottage Act and should be noted these baked goods are produced in a home kitchen that is not subject to state licensure or inspection and that may also process common food allergens  however there is no gluten-containing wheat flour is used at all in the baking process! All equipment is used specifically for gluten-free ingredients and all surfaces are sanitized prior to baking. While measures are taken to avoid any cross-contact with any wheat products, it is ultimately up to the consumer to assume any risks of consuming these products.

What does Gluten-Friendly mean?

Gluten-Friendly refers to the absence of wheat products in our baked goods. While the Colorado Cottage Act prevents us from labeling any items as “Gluten-Free,” we take great care to avoid using gluten-containing ingredients. Additionally, all our equipment is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized to ensure there is no cross-contact with allergens. At Claire’s Cookies, we prioritize the safety and well-being of our customers who have gluten sensitivities.
